At Gossip Property Development, our team mission is to breathe new life into commercial properties by converting them into sustainable, thoughtfully designed residential spaces that contribute positively to the local community. We strive to balance affordability with quality, ensuring our developments enhance neighbourhoods and provide lasting value for residents. We are based in Poole, Dorset and but cover all areas in the south of England

Vanessa Henry

BSc (Hons)

Our founder Vanessa Henry, purchased her first Buy to Let (BTL) property at auction in 2003. Alongside her day job as a Process Engineer in the Water Industry, she upgraded and extended the Victorian property in her spare time, doubling it’s value and dealing with the various issues that the old building presented. Having caught the bug, Vanessa went on to purchase and refurbish more properties on the side, often turning up to work with builder’s dust in her hair! It was only a matter of time before she was able to leave her day job and in 2014 Vanessa started to concentrate on property full time with further development in BTLs, HMOs (Houses of Multiple Occupation) and SA (Serviced Accommodation). In line with this, and to validate her experience with re-designing space and aesthetics, she re-trained as an Interior Designer at the prestigious KLC School of Design and uses these skills to complement each development.

Today, Vanessa’s love for property continues with a particular passion for repurposing unloved and underutilised commercial buildings, such as offices, retail spaces, and industrial units in order to create modern homes that meet growing housing demands.

Mark Nicholls

BSc (Hons) C.Eng MIET

Mark is a Chartered Engineer and with decades of experience in property and board level consulting

Mark’s consulting career began at Accenture, where he spent 18 years developing and implementing a range of customer and digital strategies across multiple industry sectors. He held Client Partner, Practice Lead and new venture CTO roles.

He has a further 18 years as an independent consultant, providing Executive level coaching and support for Strategy and Business Change in Financial Services, Retail, Engineering and Property
